How can the amazing draw and lure of sexy, fashionable high heel pumps and our celebrated celebrities who wear them in style be ignored?

Of all the styles of high heels, the classic high heel pump has a great longevity history among all the other styles! Going back to black and white cinema (as movies were called back in the day), and moving forward to current day movie blockbusters, high heel pumps have endured and evolved in styling as well as increased in their popularity. There's strong evidence that high heel pumps will retain this status well into the future and beyond!

High Heel Pumps and Hollywood Glamour

In my purview, Marilyn Monroe demonstrated the optimum when it came to beauty and overall hollywood glamour in wearing high heel pumps! But there are many others.

Going back in hollywood time before Mariilyn Monroe, there were lots of other movie stars who graced their personna with classic high heel pumps. One such glamour movie queen who lives on today is Lauren Bacall, well known for her relationship and movie stardom alongside Humphrey Bogart during those melancholy days, long gone by.

Sometimes for just sheer entertainment, I watch the classic movie with Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall together. Do you have or have you seen the classic film "Casablanca?" Not to spoil it for you if you have not seen this movie, there is a part that may make you tear up a bit and tug at your heartstrings (probably for some men too). I'm talking about the part of the movie where they both made plans to reunite at a certain time and place, after hitting it off at their first meeting. A very sad event happens. If you do not know what this is, I recommend you either rent, buy, or netflix the movie to find out what I'm talking about. So sad but yet so classically memorable!

High Heel Pumps and the Golden Age of Hollywood!

Now back to glamorous high heel pumps! Marilyn Monroe is the epidemy of that era in wearing high heel pumps. There are other movie stars who also glamorized the classic high heel pumps. The interesting thing about that time, is that I was also enthralled by their dresses and gowns, those with the small fitted waist with matching belt, flaring skirt or tight, straight skirt, loosely fitting draped tops and sometimes worn with a glamorous hat to match!

The classic high heel pump never fails to be prominent, even with the wearing of bathing suits, not withstanding that the wearers were not in beauty contests! Just take a look at Jayne Mansfield's black and white picture to the right where she is posing wearing her glamorous high heel pumps while in a bikini!

Even more exciting now are the fashionable high heels pumps these legendary movie stars wore then, are just as excitiing when worn by us and our celebrities of present day! There is pure magic in looking at and wearing the classic high heel pumps, back then and even more so today!

High Heel Pumps Comfort

Back to the current day, just recently I was watching a TV show where the host was talking about her wedding and she was strutting around the stage and showing off her beautiful pair of gold and silver rhinestone covered sexy high heel pumps. She was a little on the plus side, weight-wise, so she mentioned that a friend of hers helped her put padding in her high heel pumps to make them comfortable.

Sometimes, for comfort, it may be necessary to add sole inserts and padding to high heel pumps. Just be sure that you are not aggravating the problem, by stuffing your high heel pumps so much so that your feet are elevated in your high heel pumps and your skin rubs tight against the high heel pump, rendering them very uncomfortable -- because now, due to the padding, the upper part of your feet is now rubbing/grazing against your high heel pumps.

The ideal thing to do would be to lose a little weight (if needed), in which the loss of weight will trickle down to your feet, resulting in narrower feet, and thus a more comfortable fit in your high heel pumps. An unsightly sight is seeing the beauty of high heels pumps spoiled because of swollen feet that seemed to have been squeezed into them! So with high heel pumps, you want to be sure that they fit nicely, and are not too small or too tight!

Pumps have become one of my favorite type high heels, especially, if I'm in a hurry and want to quickly pick out a pair of shoes to wear, sometimes to wear to work, and sometimes to other events, without having to think if the style of the shoe goes with my outfit.

With a beautiful pair of high heel pumps, no need to worry about the style. Do not limit yourself to the basic black or even red high heel pumps. There are lots of color varieties and designs for you to choose from! The advantage ,though, of black and red high heel pumps is the ease in matching them with your outfit!
