A second marriage for Kim Kardashian?

Are you like Kim Kardashian and have been through a first marriage, albeit a short one? Like Kim Kardashian, have you already been there, done that with the big traditional wedding, complete with the long flowing gown, trail and of course the veil -- minus maybe the paparazzi?

Kim Kardashian already has her eyes on someone else. Is she or you ready to give marriage another try? The age old question is "What to wear, What to wear?"

Traditional wedding gown or short wedding dress?

Why not wear something a little out of tradition the second (or third) time around and try for a sexy, short wedding gown. There are lots of new styles out that will fit your tastes.

Maybe you are on the fence, and would prefer to slightly change tradition from the long, flowing gown. If so, there are gowns designed short in the front, and long in the back. Or you can go really nontraditional and choose to wear a gown with short flowing layers, similar to the gown to the bottom right.

Regarding color, you may opt to wear an all white short gown, or an off-white one. At one time, it was frowned upon for the bride to wear white for her second marriage, but the mores have slacked some. Since this is your really big day, it is totally up to you if you would like to wear white or off-white, or even another color short wedding dress.

What about the veil? I encourage you to retain the mystery of the veil covering your face, regardless of whether it is a first or second , etc. marriage. In my opinion, the veil is a tradition that should not be broken, whether the bride wears a long traditional or short trend-setting wedding gown.

Another choice for you may be a gown that is not exactly short and not long, but is somewhere in between. The gown would fall just above your calf as shown in the picture to the right.

Advantages of the short wedding gown.

Advantages of the short wedding gown is you can show off your sexy killer high heels which are mostly hidden when wearing the long traditional wedding gown. If you are into wearing hosiery, you can accessorize your gown with lace or even white fish net hosiery, if you should be so daring.

Another advantage is the shorter wedding gown may cost less than the longer one, thus saving you money! However, be careful with limiting your choice of a short wedding gown due to lack of funds. It's your wedding day and no expense should be spared!

Disadvantage of the short wedding gown.

A disadvantage is the long traditional gown is just that -- a tradition. Some traditions are hard to break. Or if you do break them, you may feel guilty and may not feel comfortable wearing the short wedding gown. The remedy -- you can start your own personal tradition by wearing a short wedding gown! No need for society and mores to rule what you want to wear on our won wedding.

Be gorgeous and comfortable in your wedding gown.

If you feel uncomforable about wearing a short wedding dress, then, by all means, definitely, stay with the long traditional white long gown, regardless of whether this is your first, second, or even third marriage. The important thing here is for you to be gorgeous, comfortable and happy on your big day. Do not let the choice of a gown ruin it for you. Wear a gown you feel comfortable and beautiful wearing.

Lose weight to fit into your wedding gown?

Have you ever bought an outfit with the idea that you will lose weight and fit into it? I advise you not to do this for your wedding. Be sure to get a short wedding gown that fits you well at the time you are trying it on and not some unperceived date when you plan to lose that extra 5 pounds or so. You want to be sure that you can wear your wedding dress on your wedding day! If that means forgoing certain favorite high calorie foods of your choice, then this is a small price to pay to be able to wear your beautiful wedding gown -- especially on your wedding day!

What jewelry should you wear with your gorgeous wedding gown?

If you are wearing a strapless short white short gown, be sure to be sparingly with the jewelry. I recommend wearing bracelets or earrings. However, you should opt out from wearing large necklaces, which would take the attention away from your complete wedding gown outfit.

Now for your high heels! I noticed the models to the right are wearing mostly light colored or tan high heels, with one lovely lady even wearing a black pair of high heels. The black high heels appear to be too much of a contrast against the white dress, so at this present time, I'm not advocating wearing black shoes with a white wedding gown, if at all possible. By the way, I especially like the sexy ankle high heels worn by the model in the first picture to the right.

Remember, just because you are getting married for a second time, does not mean you have to become unfashionable. This is just the beginning (or maybe a continuation) of your fashion journey!
